At Black TechXcellence (pronounced like Black Excellence with a T), we cultivate a community of Black and Latinx tech professionals by organizing a series of innovative, culturally relevant, pressure free, social events that promote genuine connection among attendees and facilitate the process of diversity recruitment in the tech industry.
Â
Organized by the Hip Hop Hacktivist team, this upcoming Black TechXcellence experience will be in partnership with the good folks at MeetUp. The evening will center around an open, honest, and interactive discussion about being black in tech. It will also consist of casual activities that include interactive games, music, food, beverages, and light hearted after-work fun.
1. Develop genuine relationships with other culturally similar tech professionals.
Â
2. Advance your career by being part of a community of sought-after, qualified tech professionals with access to a growing pipeline of tech recruiters and job opportunities.
Â
3. Interface with recruiters of tech companies in a pressure free environment where your personality can shine.

We’ve organized the most creative and non-traditional cultural tech experience that we could think of and ask that you commit to attending only if your schedule allows you to be on site at 5:45pm. Your punctuality is very important because we want to assure that you get the full Black Techxcellence experience.
We welcome you to join our judgement- and pressure-free, culturally relevant networking environment designed to bring black and latinx tech professionals together to build genuine relationships. The evening is also structured to serve as a recruitment initiative for black and latinx professionals to connect with recruiters from various tech companies who are looking for diverse talent.
